Vote for Carleigh Beriont
Carleigh Beriont, who is running for the Democratic nomination for U.S. House in New Hampshire’s 1st District, is my neighbor and friend, and I have supported her campaign from the beginning. Throughout the campaign, I’ve received her updates and fundraising emails, but her latest message impressed me more than ever.
I’ve long believed that Carleigh would represent me in Congress better than I could represent myself. What struck me most in her recent email was her genuine enthusiasm for the actual “nuts and bolts” of governing. She doesn’t just tolerate the complexity of government — she enjoys figuring out how it works and how to make it work better for people. She brings that same approach to her role as co-chair of the Hampton Select Board, where she has shown that effective leadership requires patience, persistence and attention to detail.
That realization only deepened my admiration and respect for her. It also made me think that serving as our U.S. Representative would be as fulfilling for Carleigh as it would be beneficial for the people of New Hampshire’s 1st District. Too many politicians spend their time fueling division instead of solving problems. We deserve leaders who are driven by facts, accountability and a genuine commitment to the people they represent.
Finding work that matches both your talents and your passions is transformative. I believe Carleigh has found that calling, and our district would be well served by someone who genuinely enjoys the work of governing and serving her constituents. Please vote for Carleigh Beriont on Sept. 8!
