Meg Hagaman for County Attorney
When Paul Halvorsen ran for Merrimack County Attorney in 2020, I wrote, as a retired Assistant U.S. Attorney, in support of Paul’s ability to effectively lead the county prosecutor’s office. Paul is retiring after 50 years of government service. I am writing today to ask my fellow residents to support and vote for Meg Hagaman to be the next Merrimack County Attorney. Meg has shown the ability to both prosecute complex criminal cases, and, as the Chief of the Criminal Division at the NH Attorney General’s Office, lead teams of prosecutors, support staff and law enforcement to put criminals behind bars.
Meg has experience in the trenches both in multiple County Attorney offices in New Hampshire and as Chief of the Criminal Division of the AG’s Office. A County Attorney must not only be expert in trying cases, but must be a leader of the prosecutors as well as the administrative, budget and training sides of the office, so that prosecutions can be conducted smoothly and successfully.
Meg Hagaman is the best prepared candidate with the combination of the courtroom and leadership skills necessary to be an excellent County Attorney. We need Meg’s expertise and experience as a prosecutor and leader to keep Merrimack County safe. Please vote for Meg Hagaman for County Attorney in the Sept. 8 Republican primary.
