Meg Hagaman for County Attorney
On the ballot this primary day, you’ll see candidates for “Merrimack County Attorney.” It’s a lesser known but critical role with a long list of responsibilities. And at the end of the day, the measure of successful law enforcement in Merrimack County largely rests on this person’s shoulders. That’s a tall order, and they have to give the very best of themselves to make the office work. So, let me tell you about Meg Hagaman — the best candidate for Merrimack County Attorney.
I’ve known Meg for several years. She’s a great person and a top notch professional. Meg has been a criminal prosecutor for over 12 years, having done everything from violations to a double homicide. Meg’s a tireless advocate of victims’ rights and will be relentless in her efforts to ensure justice is served.
Her experience also includes being the Chief of the Criminal Justice Bureau at the Attorney General’s Office, where she not only prosecuted the most serious crimes statewide, she led a team of people and created and worked within a budget.
That’s important, because that’s exactly what we’re electing our County Attorney to do. And they will oversee, mentor and guide the office — all the prosecutors, victim witness advocates and support staff.
If it sounds like Meg is incredibly prepared for the job, it’s because she is. She’s a proven leader, and she has my trust. Please join me in voting for Meg Hagaman for Merrimack County Attorney in the Republican primary on Sept. 8. Thank you.
