Meg Hagaman has secured the Republican nomination for Merrimack County Attorney after a close race against candidates Sarah Rogers and Jon Raiche.
Hagaman won nearly 40% of the vote, with Rogers coming up just behind with 34% and Raiche earning 25%, according to results from the Secretary of State’s office.
“There were three candidates working hard to win this race, and each of us brought a strong message, spent countless hours connecting with voters and brought a passion that energized the party!” Hagaman wrote in an Instagram post Saturday announcing her win.
A longtime prosecutor from Bow, Hagaman has over a decade of experience at the county and state levels. She previously worked in the state Attorney General’s office and served as chief of the New Hampshire Department of Justice’s Criminal Bureau.
Her priorities include building and maintaining strong relationships with law enforcement, seeking well-trained prosecutors, building strong recruitment and mentorship and helping crime victims navigate the criminal justice process.
In the general election, Hagaman will face off against Democrat Steve Endres, who ran unopposed in the primary.
This is the last local primary race called by the office of the Secretary of State.
