Loudon, NH – GERALD “Gerry” LEE SHELDON DREW, age 71, of Loudon, NH passed away on September 9th, 2026 in his home after a long period of declining health.
Gerry grew up in Pittsfield, NH then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Later he earned an accounting degree while working full-time for the State of NH as an accountant. There he met his wife Mary Lu, and moved to Loudon where they made their home together for 30 years until her death in 2018. Gerry and Mary Lu enjoyed traveling, playing cards with friends, and had a shared interest in collectibles. For decades Gerry played key roles in the NH Collector’s Club and was President at the time of his death. Gerry had an amusing and slightly eccentric sense of humor, which made him interesting and entertaining to spend time with.
There are too many kind people to list who provided companionship and assistance to Gerry and his beloved dog Georgia, which allowed him to live independently as a widower despite his failing health. Key people include his friend Roland Connors, and neighbors Stacey and Brendan and their children.
Gerry is survived by his stepdaughter Katherine Creon of Concord and her children Ash, Scarlett, and Anakin; his stepson Christopher Hanson and wife Maria of Northborough MA and their children Eric and Ella; his siblings Brian Drew of Penacook, Carl Drew of Loudon, and Dawna White of Pittsfield; nephews Nicholas, Joseph, and Kenneth, 2 great nephews and 2 great nieces.
He was preceded by his wife Mary Lu, parents Kenneth and Virgina Drew, and grandparents Charles and Marcia Sheldon, and Otis and Sadie Drew.
A graveside service with Navy military honors will be held at the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen on October 1st at 10am, where he will be interred beside his wife.
