Save democracy with a straight Democratic ticket
We all know ticket-splitters. Folks who think it’s best for the political parties to share power. Their reasoning may be based on conservatism, but in the case of New Hampshire’s election to fill the State House, that rationale doesn’t work. The Republican Free State agenda is crippling local taxpayers and must be actively undone. We must all vote a Democratic straight ticket.
Beyond that, we also need there to be a Democrat in the Corner Office in 2028 because we can be assured Trump will be up to no good. We see what he’s doing to rig the midterms: demanding voter files from states, mid-decade redistricting, limiting mail-in voting by executive order, ICE near polling places, threatening election officials and working tirelessly to pass the Save Act, which would disenfranchise millions of Americans.
Well just imagine what Trump will do two years from now if a Democrat is poised to become President. He will pull out all the stops, including strong-arming Republican Governors to certify fake election results. He did it once; he’ll do it again. We know Trump fears nothing more than a Democrat in the White House. There are numerous points of procedural vulnerability in the voting, election and certification processes. And New Hampshire lacks any penalty for defecting, or “faithless,” electors. I don’t trust Ayotte to stand up to Trump. Do you? She hasn’t done it so far.
We cannot afford two more years of Ayotte in more ways than just our pocketbooks. Vote Democratic up and down the ballot.
