Cheryl Janelle

Canterbury, NH – Cheryl A. Janelle, 70, of Canterbury, New Hampshire, passed away on September 27, 2026. Born April 6, 1956, in Torrington, Connecticut, she was the daughter of Mary Joan Hogan and the late David C. Hogan Sr.

Cheryl shared 47 loving years of marriage with her devoted husband, Donald. Together, they enjoyed traveling, camping, and creating treasured memories with family and friends.

Warm, thoughtful, and caring, Cheryl had a special gift for keeping people connected and making everyone feel loved. She spent many years as an administrator for the New Hampshire State Police and proudly served as president of the New Hampshire State Police Benevolent Association, forming lifelong friendships along the way.

Family was at the heart of Cheryl’s life. She remembered birthdays, checked on loved ones, and always sent cards, often with a scratch ticket tucked inside. She also adored her beloved cat, Sammy.

Cheryl is survived by Donald, her mother, Mary Joan, brothers John (Olga), Greg (Lori), and Jerry (Amanda), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, David Hogan Jr.

Cheryl’s kindness, laughter, and love brought people together. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.
