William “Bill” Snow

Punta Gorda, FL – William “Bill” Snow, 76, of Punta Gorda, Florida, formerly of Alton, New Hampshire, passed away at home with his beloved wife, Lois, by his side.

Bill grew up in Webster, New Hampshire, and made his home in Alton for much of his adult life. He proudly served in the New Hampshire Army National Guard and dedicated 35 years to the State of New Hampshire. After retiring, he managed and greatly improved traffic operations at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Bill and Lois made Punta Gorda their home for the past 5 years, returning to New Hampshire each summer to visit family and friends. In Florida, they enjoyed relaxing by the pool, searching the beach for shark teeth, and a slower pace of life together. Bill enjoyed working at the Home Depot Garden center, where his coworkers became a second family, and he grew out his beard each holiday season to play Santa.

Bill was a man of many talents who could fix just about anything and was always willing to lend a hand. He loved the outdoors, gardening, and hiking. Known as “Bumpa,” Bill will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, generous heart, and ability to make people laugh. He made everyone feel welcome and was happiest surrounded by those he loved.

Above all, Bill cherished his family and his faith. A devoted Christian, he lived with a strong faith in Jesus Christ and a peaceful assurance of eternal life.

Bill shared nearly 40 years of marriage with the love of his life, Lois. He was the proud father of six children: Dianna Snow, Paul Snow, Lynn (Snow) Wall, Marsha Snow, Christopher Snow, and Andrena (Snow) Santulli. He was a loving grandfather to 17 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 14 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Lois; five of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; his sister, Alberta; and his brothers, Ray and Bob. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Ruth (Sutton) Snow, his brother, John Snow, and his son Paul Snow.

Bill leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, faith, and love. His family takes comfort in knowing the faith he lived by has brought him home to Jesus.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Bumpa.
