Ayotte and the ICE detention center

I remain irritated by the lack of accountability for Ayotte’s forced resignation of the Commissioner of Natural and Cultural Resources.

The removal was an attempt by Ayotte to deflect the Governor’s earlier knowledge of and cooperation with ICE and its interest in acquiring a NH detention center. When the Commissioner was fired, Ayotte did not acknowledge her cooperation with the Trump administration and ICE. It became clear when an ICE official testified at a Congressional Hearing praising Ayotte’s earlier willingness to support their efforts to obtain a NH detention center.

Ayotte’s collusion with ICE is deplorable.

We need a new governor who will not throw innocent public servants under the bus.
