Thank you to NH State Police

The NH State Police were helpful before and during a protest by a coalition of peace groups at the Sig Sauer facility Oct. 10 at Pease Tradeport.

RAIN (Resist Arms to Israel Now), NH Coalition for a Just Peace in the Middle East, and other peace groups gathered to protest Sig Sauer’s provision of weapons to Israel and its reported collaboration with Israel Aerospace Industries to develop an AI-guided armed drone system. Sig Sauer, the largest U.S. arms exporter, has ignored the coalition’s multiple letters.

Four officers at 16 Pease Boulevard spoke with group leaders and suggested the best place to assemble. During the solemn reading of names of some of the 20,000 children killed in Gaza, police intervened when a heckler on a noisy three-wheeled vehicle disrupted the somber ceremony and had them leave.

To raise public awareness, seven cyclists rode 25 miles, 40 peacemakers walked three miles, about 80 people gathered in Market Square, and about 75 held a vigil at Pease.

We call on Senators Shaheen and Hassan and Representatives Pappas and Goodlander to stop the development of these inhumane, deadly drones and end the leasing of NH property to the U.S. headquarters of the German company, Sig Sauer.

We must end this march of death and destruction. We encourage Sig Sauer’s workers to work for a company that produces things that make the world a better place.
