Next leadership class selected

Leadership Greater Concord is an immersive program for individuals who are interested in becoming more involved in the Capital Region community, seeking volunteer or civic opportunities, and motivated to grow professionally. Local leaders from a diverse range of industries will participate in this year’s program that is presented by the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce and generously underwritten by Bangor Savings Bank and Unitil.

Beginning in September, this LGC will guide participants through the inner workings of Concord and the surrounding region. Each month, a day-long program will focus on different aspects of life in the region including history, arts, culture & community; livable communities and smart growth; environment & sustainability; criminal justice; communication & the media; government & politics; health & human services; education.

These thought-provoking session days feature speakers such as Gov. Chris Sununu, Concord Mayor Bouley, Chief Osgood of Concord Police Department, CEO Jim Schachter of New Hampshire Public Radio and Dr. Elizabeth Daly, MHP, Chief of the Bureau of Infectious Disease Control. LGC participants have personal conversations with these presenters and continue to engage with them after graduation.

Now in its 31st year, LGC has over 600 alumni, many of whom are making an impact by serving on local town boards, nonprofit boards or municipal committees.
