The New Hampshire Audubon is beginning a new venture blending a love of avians and music.

Birds and Beans Coffeehouse will promote bird-friendly coffee and provide a space for local musicians to perform.

Today at 7 p.m., Peggo and Paul Hodes and Kent Allyn will share โ€œLove Songs and Other Trivia.โ€

Itโ€™s an evening of music that mixes elements of pop, jazz, folk and blues. Peggo Hodes is a classically-trained vocalist and was chairwoman of the voice department at the Concord Community Music School for 15 years. Paul Hodes and Allyn will accompany on guitar.

Peggo and Paul Hodes met after Peggo placed an ad in the Boston Phoenix looking for a guitarist. Theyโ€™ve been making music together ever since and married 32 years.

The show is a chance for the trio to sing songs on variations of love: lost and found, enduring, potions, and loving people, places and even politics.

The performance will take place at the McLane Center, 84 Silk Farm Road, Concord. Tickets are $15 for members or $18 for nonmembers. To reserve or for more information, call 244-9909, ext. 313 or visit nhaudubon.org.
