Carla Dionne and Jenn Huard will be taking over key leadership positions at Weare Middle School and Center Woods Upper Elementary School.

Carla Dionne

Weare Middle School and Center Woods Upper Elementary School’s new assistant principal may be new to the position, but she is a familiar face in the district.

Carla Dionne will take over as the new assistant principal at Weare Middle and Center Woods Upper Elementary School starting in July. Dionne’s title is a new one, and she will be replacing two Deans of Teaching and Learning – Jake Morrill who is moving on to become an assistant principal at Hopkinton Middle High School and Phil Matzke who is moving into an Instructional Coach role for SAU 24.

Dionne has been a classroom teacher at Center Woods Upper Elementary School since 2015. Before coming to the Weare School District, she was a Title I Interventionist and long-term substitute teacher at the Hallsville Elementary School in Manchester. She holds a Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University and a BA in Elementary Education and Special Education Clinical Psychology from Keene State College.

“I have so enjoyed my first seven years in Weare as a classroom educator and hope that I can continue building positive relationships with the community and students in my new role,” Dionne said. “While change can be challenging, I look forward to the wider impact I will have working alongside the amazing staff already here and the new ones who will join us.”

Dionne lives in Hillsborough with her husband, Adam, and their daughter, Daphne. She enjoys camping with her family, hiking and reading.

Jenn Huard

The school will also be getting a new Assistant Principal of Student Services in July. Jenn Huard will be coming to the district from Souhegan High School where she served most recently as a special education administrator, and previously as an inclusion facilitator and learning specialist.

Over the years at Souhegan, Jenn was dedicated to building a system of supports to provide necessary services to all students. She holds a Master of Education in Special Education from Plymouth State University and a BA in Elementary and Special Education from Southern New Hampshire University.

“I am excited to be joining the Weare Middle/Center Woods Upper Elementary community,” Huard said. ” I am eager to work collaboratively with the faculty, students, and families to build a positive educational experience that supports all learners.”
