■The special meeting for Concord Grange 322 scheduled for today at 2 p.m. has been postponed due to the snowstorm. A makeup date will be announced.
■Granite State Baptist Church on Sheep Davis Road will have a Chili Bake Off on Souper Sunday, Feb. 2, after the 10 a.m. worship service. There will be at least 18 different types of chili to sample and judge.
■The Immanuel Community Church, 5 Grover St., will have a potluck dinner today after the worship service. The annual church meeting will be held following the dinner. The Church is also having a Souper Sunday lunch on Feb. 2 after the 10 a.m. worship service. There will be homemade soups and desserts with donations taken to benefit the Friendly Kitchen.
■The Immaculate Heart of Mary Church will have the following activities this week: Alpha in One Hour today from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the church hall. The church is beginning a “Keep Connected” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday. This will be a free seven-week program to help develop strong and close communication skills and bonding between middle school youth and parents. ■The Concord Lions Club meets the first Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Alan’s Restaurant in Boscawen. The club just finished the prescreening for eye sight for 3,000 children in Concord area public schools. The Lions Club will be distributing applications for scholarships to high school students in Concord High, Concord Christian, Pembroke Academy, Bishop Brady, Bow, Merrimack Valley, and NHTI. The scholarships are $1,000 each to three students.
