Carmelle Paveglio

Concord, NH – Carmelle (Roy) Paveglio died on June 5, 2026 at the Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord. Carmelle was born in Manchester NH, grew up on the west side and graduated from St. Marie High School. She married her husband Dave and moved to Alexandria Virginia, taking a job at the Bell Telephone Company in Washington, D.C. while he was stationed at the Marine Corps Base in Quantico. Carmelle and Dave moved back to NH and raised their family on Manor Road in Penacook. Those were the happiest of years. While Carmelle worked for many years in Human Resources at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic (originally the Concord Clinic), she would tell you that her greatest accomplishment in life was loving and caring for her husband of 52 years, four children, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was so very proud of her family and passionate in her love for each and every one of them.

Carmelle was a happy, spirited, brave, independent and determined woman. She made things happen. Throughout her life she taught herself to sew, cook and paint. She was undaunted by technology and kept pace with her grandchildren using her computer, iPad and iPhone. It was her mission every day to smile, be helpful and share a happy thought.

Carmelle leaves behind her sister, Lucille Chalifour of Manchester, her children Suzanne Williams and her husband Dale of Canterbury, Jo-Ann Mulligan and her husband Bob of Concord, and D.Michael Paveglio and his wife, Sarah of Chichester. Carmelle was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, J.David Paveglio and her youngest daughter, Robin Bouchard, as well as her parents, Marcel and Diana Roy, her brother George Roy and sister Laurette Roy, who are with her now in heaven. Her greatest joy on this earth were her eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She carried their names in her heart always: Elisabeth, Megan, Tristan, Emily, Michael, Jeffrey, Jimmy, Rachel, Greyden, Kenzie, Luna, Olive, Henry, Rowan, Kayden, Reagan, Wren and Maeve.

There will be a mass celebrated for Carmelle at Christ the King Parish on Monday, June 15th 2026. Carmelle’s grandson, Fr. Jeffrey Paveglio will officiate. The family wishes to thank the staff at Havenwood Retirement Community, Granite VNA Rehabilitation Services and Hospice House for their kind and gentle care of Carmelle. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers in Carmelle’s memory to the Granite VNA Hospice House.
