Meg Hagaman for Merrimack County Attorney

In today’s divisive political world, the default is to vote solely by party affiliation. But regardless of your political alignment, the best person for this job is — without question — Meg Hagaman.

The position of Merrimack County Attorney, the chief prosecutor in the county, is not (and should not) be a political position. It requires a lawyer who is fair, honest, principled, compassionate, well-reasoned, skilled, experienced and tireless. Meg is all these things and more. She is a person who knows that a prosecutor’s duty is to seek justice and to do “the right thing,” each and every case. She recognizes that victims must be treated with respect and care and defendants must be treated as individuals. Meg understands that serving as County Attorney is both a privilege and great responsibility, and, if given the opportunity, will do so with vigor and, when appropriate, compassion.

As a person who served as a prosecutor for approximately 30 years, trained prosecutors all over New Hampshire, and has worked with Meg throughout her career, I can think of no more worthy candidate for Merrimack County Attorney than Meg Hagaman.
