■The Bow Garden Club’s annual Poinsettia Fundraiser will be held this year with new procedures in place. Representatives of both the Garden Club and the Town of Bow met recently to devise a safe and efficient plan. Details will be announced soon. Beautiful red, white and pink poinsettias in 8-inch pots (contain three stems of poinsettias) and 10-inch pots (contain four stems of poinsettias) can now be pre-ordered through any Bow Garden Club member, via order forms posted in the entryways of both the Baker Free Library and the Bow Rec Dept. or by contacting Joyce Kimball at 229-1990 or joyceakimball@comcast.net. The poinsettia prices are $24 for the 8-inch pots and $34 for the 10-inch pots. All proceeds will benefit the Garden Club’s ongoing civic beautification efforts in Bow. All orders need to be received by Nov. 4. Customer pick-up will be on Dec. 5.
■The Garden Club is now accepting donations of new pajamas and books through its annual Pajama Project which will run through mid-November. The pajamas and books collected this year will be distributed to Family Promise of Greater Concord and Friends, families receiving assistance through Bow Human Services and Friends of Forgotten Children in Penacook, which also serves the greater Concord area. Collection boxes are now in place in the entryways of the Baker Free Library and the Bow Parks & Rec Dept. Donations can also be given to any Bow Garden Club member. ■John Stark Regional High School math teacher Matthew Caputo has been awarded a 2020 Edyth May Sliffe Award by the Mathematical Association of American Mathematics Competitions. This national education prize is awarded annually to teachers for their outstanding work to motivate students.

■The Hopkinton Town Clerk’s office mailed out absentee ballots to voters who had submitted absentee ballot requests for the General Election on Nov. 3. You can mail, fax, or hand deliver the completed form to the Town Clerk. If you mail or fax your request, an absentee ballot will be mailed to you. If you hand deliver your ballot request to the Town Clerk Office, you can pick up an absentee ballot, vote, and turn in your completed ballot to the clerk in a one-stop visit.
