I didn’t watch the debate on Tuesday night because the debate format does not closely resemble what it is like to be president of the United States. If this year has been any indication, the test should be to give each candidate a problem they have not had to deal with, and with the assistance of two advisers of their choice, they should be given 10 minutes to come up with workable solutions. Let the audience decide who comes up with the best answers. Then trouble-shoot the answers with experts who assess how viable or accurate the solution is. Now I would tune in for that!
