Letter: A modest wall proposal

Monday, January 07, 2019

I don’t know about all N.H. residents, but I feel very shortchanged lately by all the debate in Washington to build border walls along our southern border with Mexico. We could also use a border wall along our Canadian border to keep out terrorists and stop illegal drugs from flowing to us. The 9/11 terrorists came in from Canada, and didn’t Canada just legalize marijuana?

We need wall money to help stimulate our economy, especially by adding construction jobs. Maybe our border wall could be made of wood grown and milled in New Hampshire?

Oh, yes, while we are at it shouldn’t we also build a sea wall along our coastline to protect low areas from the ravages of increased sea levels due to global warming?

Let’s push our representatives for a border and sea wall! Maybe they can also negotiate with Canada to pay for the border wall? We need to look out for New Hampshire first.
