JV results

The Merrimack Valley JV boys’ basketball team (3-4) lost a close one to Sanborn, 50-45. Matt Grandmaison led with MV 16 points. Justen Whaley added 11 points and Aaric Adams played well defensively.

■The Hopkinton JV boys’ basketball team’s four-game winning streak came to an end Thursday with a loss to Conant. The Hawks were led by Quinn Whitehead with 11 points and Jack Morrill with six points.

Middle school results

The Kearsarge Middle School Nordic teams both finished second in a three-team meet. In the boys’ race, Kearsarge finished second to Gilford, but topped Fall Mountain. On the girls’ side, Kearsarge finished second to Fall Mountain, but defeated Gilford.

■The Bow Memorial School girls’ basketball team improved to 16-0 with a 57-35 win over Nashua’s World Academy. Ellie Pingree paced the Lady Wildcats with 14 points, followed by Lyndsey LaPerle (10 points) and Julia Tarsa (seven points). Pingree and Alexandra Larrabee led the team in rebounds, assists and steals. Sidney Roberge and Rachel Pelletier had their best games of the season.

Youth basketball

The Bow fifth-grade boys’ team (11-8) defeated Londonderry, 45-37. Peyton Larrabee (12 points), Tommy Tsouros (10 points), Jake Reardon (eight points) and Brendan O’Keeffe (seven points) paced a balanced offense. Elliot Rheaume and Gavin Buxton forced numerous turnovers.
