JV results

The Pembroke JV boys’ basketball team (6-4) beat John Stark, 74-52. Jacob Boisvert had a great game for Pembroke with 33 points and Evan Berkeley scored 16. Jacob Mather, Michael Cox and Evan Lavenskie all chipped in with six points each.

■The Pembroke Academy boys’ reserve basketbal team beat Oyster River, 51-46. Josh Goyette led the Spartans with nine points. Julien Lembo and P.J.Regnier both scored eight points and Devin Riel added seven.

 

Baseball/softball registration

Concord Northeast Baseball and Softball registration is now open. Concord Northeast offers t-ball (ages 4-6), softball (8U through age 16), and baseball (coach pitch, AA/AAA, majors, and Babe Ruth (up to age 15). Softball is open to Concord residents. T-ball and baseball are open to kids who live in, or attend school, in Concord, Hopkinton or Pembroke. Registration and additional information can be found at concordnortheast.com. Events

Everett Arena public ice skating hours will be Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday hours are from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday hours will also be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission will be $6 for skaters and free for children ages 3 and under. Skate rentals are available. Skating lessons will continue through March. For more information, visit concordnh.gov/skating.

Coaches needed

John Stark Regional High School has the following coaching openings for the 2021-22 school year: JV boys’ hockey, JV boys’ lacrosse, JV girls’ lacrosse and boys’ varsity volleyball. Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton Redhawks football program is looking for a varsity defensive coordinator. Prior high school varsity or college experience required. NH Lightning Softball College Showcase Team’s camp for playes age 7-12 will be on Feb. 28 from 9 a.m. to noon (registration starts at 8:30 a.m.) at Concord Sports Center, 2 Whitney Road. Sign up at nhlightning.com. Cost is $50.

Tryouts/Registrations

Concord Little League registration is open for children ages 4-13 in the following towns: Concord, Bow, Hopkinton, Henniker, Penacook and Loudon. Register at concordnhlleaugue.com. Five levels of baseball are offered: tee-ball (A), coach pitch (AA), minors (AAA), majors and a new intermediate league (13 year olds).
