Allison Peterson named Dean of Teaching and Learning for Center Woods Upper Elementary School

SAU 24 Superintendent Dr. Lorraine Tacconi-Moore recently announced the appointment of Allison Peterson as Dean of Teaching and Learning for Center Woods Upper Elementary School in Weare. Peterson will begin on July 1.

“Allison is a passionate educator who has worked in a variety of positions. Her rich experiences will complement the administrate team at the schools,” said Superintendent Tacconi-Moore of the appointment.

Peterson has been the Academic Director of Scotland Storm Community Development in Bethesda, Md., and an Instructional Coach at Johns Hopkins School of Education in D.C. for the past two years. Prior to her current position, she has been a principal, assistant principal, and teacher at public schools in both Maryland and Connecticut.

Peterson is a graduate of Clark University in Worcester, Mass., and holds a Master of Arts in Teaching and a 6th Year Certificate of Advanced Studies in Educational Administration and Supervision from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut.

Peterson and her husband, who recently retired from the federal government, are moving to New Hampshire to be closer to family. They have an adult daughter who is an attorney.
