Walmart stores across the state are being closely monitored Wednesday morning after receiving bomb threats.

The threats are being taken seriously but are believed to be a hoax, according to the New Hampshire Department of Safety. Other stores across the country are also reporting threats.

Local law enforcement agencies are sharing information with state and federal officials.

Earlier this week in Concord, police and school administrators became aware of a social media post involving a possible threat at Rundlett Middle School, which turned out to be not credible.

Safety precautions were taken, including an increased police presence at the school, “out of an abundance of caution.” Concord Police investigated the social media post and identified the responsible individuals.
