I am writing in support of Candace Bouchard’s candidacy for state Senate District 15.

I have known Candace since I moved here in 2001. At that time she let me know that she was my representative. This I found very helpful given I was new to Central New Hampshire. Since then we have worked on many community projects and committees together. We also worked on a primary together.

I have always found Candace hard-working and responsive to her constituents. She is easily approachable and a good listener, seeking out the concerns of those she represents. She advocates for marginalized communities and against racism and prejudice. She regularly supports and attends events in the community. In addition to giving her an opportunity to meet voters, this helps her keep a pulse on the needs of her community.

During her time as a public servant, she has worked diligently for women’s rights and has received the “Champion of Choice Award” from NARAL and Planned Parenthood’s “Champion Award” for defending women’s rights. She’s supportive of raising the minimum wage and establishing paid medical and family leave. She will continue these endeavors as a state senator, as well as finding a way to fund education that supports reducing local property taxes and reducing student debt.

Candace has a long history of working for communities, and this experience and her investment makes her ideal for state senator for District 15.

Please vote for Candace Bouchard on Sept. 8.
