A 9-year-old girl riding her bicycle in the area of Cumberland Farms on Fisherville Road narrowly escaped an adult man’s attempt to lure her into his vehicle on Friday, police said.

Police responded to 47 Fisherville Road around 4:15 p.m. after the father of the girl reported the incident to police, they said. Officers say the male suspect allegedly tried to entice the girl into his vehicle before leaving the scene.

Officers were given a license plate and a description of the vehicle. A possible subject was later located and interviewed by police. At this time, no arrests have been made.

The incident remains active and ongoing and anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact Detective Steve Hemming of the Concord Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division at 603-225-8600.
