Bow man charged with possession of child sexual abuse images

An eight-month investigation by the Concord Police Department’s Computer Crimes Unit led to an arrest on Monday when a 41-year-old man from Bow turned himself in to face charges related to possession of child sexual abuse.

Justin Spaulding was charged with 10 counts of possession of child sex abuse images on the internet, police said, after he turned himself in to Concord police on an outstanding warrant. Spaulding requested the services of a bail commissioner and was released on Personal Recognizance bail.

Bow police and The New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force assisted Concord police with its investigation, which began last October. According to authorities, police suspected that Spaulding was sharing illegal photographs on the internet.

Police said that “Over the course of several months, search warrants were executed, interviews were conducted, and evidence was examined. As a result of the investigation, probable cause was established to charge Spaulding.”

Spaulding is scheduled to be arraigned in Merrimack County Superior Court on June 22. Anyone with information on these charges should call Detective Alex Harbitz of the Criminal Investigations Division at 225-8600.
