Letter: Maggie Goodlander for Congress

Who do you want representing NH in Congress, someone with years of federal experience shaping national policy, or someone whose experience is largely confined to the private sector? Maggie Goodlander has dedicated nearly two decades to public service, from her time in the military to her influential roles in government and academia, where she has shaped the next generation of public servants. She’s spent her career fighting for the public good, not just the bottom line. When it comes to defending our fundamental freedoms, Maggie’s leadership is unparalleled. She has helped lead national voter protection efforts, worked on Capitol Hill during the impeachment of Donald Trump, and helped create a government reproductive rights task force. She was even banned from Russia for her national security work, and she’s fought corporate monopolies at the Department of Justice. Maggie knows the ins and outs of Washington, from clerking at the U.S. Supreme Court and federal Court of Appeals to navigating the arcane rules that get real results. She’s ready to get to work for NH on day one.

Colin Van Ostern’s name may be more familiar, but Maggie is the most qualified, capable, and accomplished candidate NH has seen in years. And when it comes to closing the gap in gender representation in Congress, Maggie brings a much-needed voice to a legislative body where women make up just 28%, despite being over half the population. I know who I want in Congress. I know Maggie and I want her.
