Millions around the world will wage “climate strikes” today to demand climate action now by their elected leaders – motivated by Sweden’s young Greta Thunberg, whose words and actions have inspired a worldwide movement.

To the world’s mighty at the World Economic Summit at Davos, Switzerland, Thunberg said: “I want you to feel the fear I feel every day. I want you to act. I want you to act as you would in a crisis. I want you to act as if the house is on fire, because it is.”

Concerned citizens of Concord will “go on strike” and rally in front of the State House at 3 p.m. today. It will be a call for action by Concordians who are frightened by climate change – a chance for us to act as if our world is on fire, because it is!
