The Concord School District voted Monday to appoint Clint Cogswell to be the new school district treasurer for the remainder of this year’s term.

Cogswell will be taking over from previous treasurer Tom Croteau, who was appointed to fill a vacant seat on the Concord School Board in February. The treasurer’s responsibilities include meeting quarterly with business manager Jack Dunn to discuss the district’s finances, and signing off on any bond items.

School Board president Jim Richards nominated Cogswell, a former teacher and principal who also been a Concord School Board member and treasurer and was a member of Charter Commission in 2012 and 2022.

“He is formerly a treasurer of the district and is very familiar with our finances, as well as being a former Board member,” Richards said. “I heartily endorse him and I'm glad he said that he was willing to do that.”
