It was 14 years ago, when Jeff Labrecque created a custom jewelry hanger for his girlfriend. The woman is now his wife, and his passion for woodworking has turned into a career.

Labrecque started Concord Custom Furniture in 2016, but it wasn’t until about six weeks ago that Labrecque hung up his hat at his 9-to-5 job and fully dedicated himself to his new company.

Everything at Concord Custom Furniture is created from a combination of locally sourced and imported wood to specifically to fit each client’s needs. Labreque has built everything from kitchen tables and built-in cabinets to cornhole boards and cutting boards. With such a wide variety in his skill range, what Labrecque can build is really up to a client’s imagination.

“When I create a piece for someone, I want it to be exactly what they had in mind and I want to exceed expectations every single time,’’ said Labrecque during a tour of his workshop.
