Lyndon Flanagan: Hopkinton Female Athlete of the Season

Published: 6/27/2018 7:45:10 PM

What was the biggest challenge you or your team faced this season and how did you overcome it? The biggest challenge my team faced this season was probably trying to put everything together. We have amazing athletes and we just had to find a way to click with each other and get it done.

Who was the unsung hero of your team? The unsung hero of our team was Sophia Staples Roy. She is a sophomore attacker and she never got enough credit. She finished many shots and had great fakes and crease rolls. I always felt very secured if she had the ball.

If you could improve high school lacrosse in New Hampshire, what would you do? If I could improve high school girls lacrosse in New Hampshire, I would probably make it so girls lacrosse could be more physical.

Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they? My sports superstitions would probably be the black tie headband most of our team wears for game days. I think it makes us look good as a team and we usually did very well while wearing them.

What’s the most ridiculous fact you know?

What’s invisible but you wish people could see? The most ridiculous fact I know is that America eats 100 acres of pizza a day.

Where do you get your news? I get my news from my phone or the TV.
