Wednesday, June 27, 2018

What was the biggest challenge you or your team faced this season and how did you overcome it? The biggest challenge we faced was becoming complacent during games when we had a lead. We overcame it by constantly reminding ourselves that the game isn’t over and anything can happen.

Who was the unsung hero of your team? Rachel Denoncourt, for stepping in as our catcher. She worked very hard behind the plate and did a really great job.

If you could improve high school softball in New Hampshire, what would you do? I wouldn’t change anything about high school softball. There’s no way I could improve it.

Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they? I never step on the white circle around the pitcher’s mound.

What are some of the unwritten rules of your sport? I don’t think there are any unwritten rules of softball.

Who on your team, coaches included, reminds you of a character in a TV show or movie? Meredith Bingham reminds me of Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory. When we played trivia on the bus, she knew most of the answers.

If life were a video game, what would some of the cheat codes be? A pause/rewind/fast forward cheat code for life, so you can pause good moments, rewind and relive moments, and fast forward through the difficult times.

What is something that is really popular now, but in five years everyone will look back on and be embarrassed by? Hair styles.

Where do you get your news?Concord Monitor.

What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made? My best purchase was my unicycle. My worst purchase was a giant teddy bear that just sits in my room.

What’s the most ridiculous fact you know? Castoreum, which is found in artificial flavorings, can also be found near the anal glands of beavers.

What’s invisible but you wish people could see?

Scents.

If you could go to school in a foreign country, which country would you pick and why? France because I love their desserts.

If animals could talk, which would be the rudest? Cats.

What questions would you like to ask a time traveler from 200 years in the future? Is softball still played the same way?

If you were hired to show tourists what life is really like where you live, what would you show them / have them do? I would show them the nicest restaurant in Pembroke, Kimball’s Cavern.

What is the craziest thing one of your teachers has done? My economics teacher would lick the floor if you gave him money.

What’s the best thing about being a teen? What’s the worst? The best thing about being a teen is that you’re old enough to do things you’ve wanted to do since you were a kid, like driving. The worst thing is preparing for college.
