What was the biggest challenge you or your team faced this season and how did you overcome it?

Personally, my biggest challenge this season was keeping my head up. I am very hard on myself when playing and sometimes I show when I am upset for making a mistake. I overcame this by trying not to dwell on the mistake and just keep moving forward in the season. I would just remind myself that it’s in the past and make up for it on the other end.

Who was the unsung hero of your team?

Maddie Gaskell is the unsung hero of our team. She was always positive in practices and games. Maddie was also reliable in crucial plays.

What is something that is really popular now, but in five years everyone will look back on and be embarrassed by?

What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made?

My best purchase is my parakeet named Benny the Bull, after the Chicago Bulls mascot. My worst purchase was spending $20 on cherry blossom soap I never ended up using.

What’s invisible but you wish people could see?

Something that is invisible that I wish people could see was the level of effort someone is giving in a sport. I always want the feeling that I left it all on the court. If you could see this then it would make it easier to know yes I did or I could have tried harder.

If you could go to school in a foreign country, which country would you pick and why?

Greece because of the towns and architecture.

What questions would you like to ask a time traveler from 200 years in the future?

Do people still play basketball?

If you were hired to show tourists what life is really like where you live, what would you show them / have them do?

I would have them shovel snow.

What is the craziest thing one of your teachers has done?

A well-known teacher at my school that is constantly down for a ridiculous challenge for $1 is Mr. Benard. He has accepted challenges such as licking the school floor and eating the inside of a K-Cup. He is one of my favorite teachers!

What’s the best thing about being a teen? What’s the worst?

The best thing about being a teen is knowing I still have my whole life ahead of me and things now are just minor. The worst thing is not knowing what the future has in store for me.
