What was the biggest challenge you or your team faced this season and how did you overcome it?

One of the biggest challenges on my team was when we went to ski camp and had to ski up the downhill mountain. The challenge was that we also had to ski down. We overcame this by putting our fears behind and sending it down.

Who was the unsung hero of your team?

The unsung hero of our team was our coach. He put in hours upon hours of time in the shop working on our skis.

If you could improve high school Nordic skiing in New Hampshire, what would you do?

I would make it so each division gets to race each other more often. I would have loved to race some of my buddies from division one or two more often.

Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they?

Not really. I usually just picture myself winning the race.

What are some of the unwritten rules of your sport?

One unwritten rule of Nordic is “track.” When someone yells “track” from behind, you should get out of their way. You don’t have to, but if you don’t, it is frowned upon.

Who on your team, coaches included, reminds you of a character in a TV show or movie?

Aidan Carney on my team used to quote Rick and Morty all of the time. Whenever I think of him, I think of Rick.

If life were a video game, what would some of the cheat codes be?

I would make myself have every superpower possible.

What is something that is really popular now, but in five years everyone will look back on and be embarrassed by?

Fortnite.

Where do you get your news?

Usually CNN.

What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made?

My best purchase was probably my Boston Whaler. The worst purchase I’ve ever made was a magic set from Disney World. I was really into magic when I was younger, bought an intense magic set for a ridiculous amount of money, and then never used it.

What’s the most ridiculous fact you know?

If cars could fly, it would take one hour to reach space.

What’s invisible but you wish people could see?

Air

If you could go to school in a foreign country, which country would you pick and why?

I would pick France because we have a French exchange student currently, and he is very cool. I also want to see Paris.

If animals could talk, which would be the rudest?

Without a doubt, Gorillas.

What questions would you like to ask a time traveler from 200 years in the future?

I would ask him what type of music they listen to.

If you were hired to show tourists what life is really like where you live, what would you show them / have them do?

I would first take them skiing, then hiking, and last but not least, take them to five guys to get the true American meal.

What is the craziest thing one of your teachers has done?

I’ve saw my science teacher, who is a male, do a full split.

What’s the best thing about being a teen? What’s the worst?

The best thing about being a teen is that you can get away with a lot. The worst part is that you are still restricted to many things.
