What was biggest challenge you or your team faced this season and how did you overcome it?

The biggest challenge my team and I faced this season was our height disadvantage. Our entire basketball program is the same height however, we were able to overcome this obstacle with our speed, determination, and heart.

Who was the unsung hero of your team?

Kylie Murphy was the unsung hero of my team. She always had a smile on her face and positive attitude whether she was on or off the court. She always knew how to pick the team up when we were down or keep the team hype.

If you could improve high school basketball in New Hampshire, what would you do?

I would definitely add a shot clock, I think it would make the game a lot more interesting and fun.

Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they?

We always have to hit “win” that is written above the door frame that we run out of before warm ups.

What are some of the unwritten rules of your sport?

Don’t wear no-show socks if you have high top sneakers.

Who on your team, coaches included, reminds you of a character in a TV show or movie?

This isn’t a TV show or movie but Coach Vermette always reminded me of Bill Belichick.

If life were a video game, what would some of the cheat codes be?

Unlimited money for college

What is something that is really popular now, but in five years everyone will look back on and be embarrassed by?

Fortnite

Where do you get your news?

Usually through social media or WMUR

What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made?

My best purchase would probably be my bluetooth headphones. My worst, would be all the books I bought at the scholastic book fair my elementary school held but never read a single page of.

What’s the most ridiculous fact you know?

Sunsets on Mars are blue.

What’s invisible but you wish people could see?

The truth

If you could go to school in a foreign country, which country would you pick and why?

If I could go to a school in a foreign country, I would definitely go to Finland. They start school at 8:15 a.m. and they don’t do any standardized testing except at the end of their high school career.

If animals could talk, which would be the rudest?

A camel

What questions would you like to ask a time traveler from 200 years in the future?

What’s is trending now? Do we have flying cars yet? How big are the iPhone’s now?

If you were hired to show tourists what life is really like where you live, what would you show them / have them do?

I would take the people shopping and show them some historic places. I would also show them the best places to eat.

What is the craziest thing one of your teachers has done?

In fifth grade my teacher threw her wooden spoon she used to eat yogurt with at a student’s head because the fire alarm went off.

What’s the best thing about being a teen? What’s the worst?

I think the best thing about being a teen is that you can make mistakes but can learn and grow from them as a person. Older people think we are all trouble makers and that we are too connected to technology.
