What was biggest challenge you or your team faced this season and how did you overcome it?

The biggest challenge was scoring from other than the first line. We just kept working hard each day at practice and coach gave them time and they grew into their roles and became really essential to our run late in the season.

Who was the unsung hero of your team?

Our managers, Knox Brown and Nate Levine, they always had the waters ready for the team and showed up to 95 percent of the team events.

If you could improve high school hockey in New Hampshire, what would you do?

I’d get some college/junior scouts to come to look at some of the teams so the league can get exposure so less kids will want to leave public for private or prep schools.

Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they?

I always listened to music for around one-two hours before the game depending if the game was home or away. Then, when there was 30 minutes before the game, I’d take the headphones off. I’d always bring a water and drink it before each game.

What are some of the unwritten rules of your sport?

Never pass the puck to a kid that has to look back to get it. The person will become unaware of what’s in front of them and they can get hit hard from the other team. Always protect your goalie no matter what.

Who on your team, coaches included, reminds you of a character in a TV show or movie?

Spencer Burgess reminds me of Jim from The Office because they’re both tall, easy going and love a good prank.

If life were a video game, what would some of the cheat codes be?

Googling answers for homework.

What is something that is really popular now, but in five years everyone will look back on and be embarrassed by?

Vaping.

Where do you get your news?

Mostly from social media.

What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made?

Best: McChicken Worst: Books that I never read.

What’s the most ridiculous fact you know?

My name backwards is mail.

What’s invisible but you wish people could see?

My homework. (Joke)

If you could go to school in a foreign country, which country would you pick and why?

Canada because there’s a lot of hockey up there.

If animals could talk, which would be the rudest?

A rat or a skunk.

What questions would you like to ask a time traveler from 200 years in the future?

Do we have the hunger games?

If you were hired to show tourists what life is really like where you live, what would you show them / have them do?

I would bring them on a walk down Main Street go to the Capitol Center for the Arts to watch a play then go to the Conservation Center to see the Merrimack River and go see the Christa McAuliffe museum.

What is the craziest thing one of your teachers has done?

Got a pie thrown in their face or was dunked in a dunk tank.

What’s the best thing about being a teen? What’s the worst?

Best thing is starting to get freedom to do things you want. The worst is waking up for school in the morning.
