The 45th Market Days will have off-site parking options for those looking to avoid downtown Concord’s crowded streets during the festival.

Intown Concord will offer shuttle services from Terrill Park to drop-off locations on Centre Street and Hills Avenue from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Thursday to Saturday during the event, Intown’s executive director Dawn Badami said. The buses will be provided through Manchester City Transit.

The shuttles may prove to be useful, as Market Days tends to shut down a medley of streets during its three-day run. And Intown’s parking will be free, offering an escape from the city’s Saturday parking meters.

Otherwise, it’s business as usual for Intown’s marquee event, which will kick off Thursday with an opening ceremony at noon honoring military and first responders on Main Street. Intown’s website says all vendor spaces are filled, meaning people will have plenty of wares and tables to peruse this weekend.

Each day will have a theme, Badami said. Thursday is military/first responders day, Friday is community awareness day and Saturday is family-themed.

Live music will be featured at three stages spread out across downtown, with the southernmost on South Main Street near the Concord Co-op. Eagle and Bicentennial Square will have their own stages. A full schedule of performers is available online.

Also worth noting is that the Bank of New Hampshire Stage will be closing out the festival with a show featuring Ed Bloom. The long-hyped smaller stage from the Capitol Center of the Arts is scheduled to open Saturday night.

The following roads will be closed from Thursday to Saturday: North and South Main Street from Centre/Loudon to Hills Avenue; Capitol Street from North Main Street to Evans Lane; Park Street from North Main Street to State Street; School Street from North Main Street to Evans Lane; Warren Street from North Main Street to the Durgin Parking Garage; Pleasant Street and its extension from to State Street to Storrs Street.

Check out Tuesday’s Monitor for a full spread of events and information. A schedule of events is also available on Intown’s website.
