A man attempting to break into a vehicle early Sunday on Broad Cove in Concord was injured and sent to Concord Hospital after a confrontation with the vehicle owner, police said.

Just before 5 a.m., Concord Police officers responded to Broad Cove Drive to investigate a 911 report that a man had been breaking into a vehicle. Concord Fire responded and transported with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the same man who was injured had gone through several other unlocked vehicles in the area prior to the confrontation. Broad Cove is off West Parish Road in the northwestern part of the city. No arrests have been made.

Residents on Broad Cove Drive and the surrounding streets are asked to check their vehicles and outbuildings to see if they were victimized. Residents in the area are also asked to check their camera systems for any suspicious activity that would have occurred overnight and into the early morning hours. Contact Concord Police at (603) 225-8600.
