A second person is now facing multiple felony charges after police say he was involved in an armed robbery and shooting near the Water Street bridge last month.

Daniel Chambers, 46, of Concord was arrested by Concord Police near Commercial Street on June 26 and charged with armed robbery, criminal threatening with a deadly weapon, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon.

On the morning of June 7, Concord Police responded to a report that a man had been shot under the Water Street Bridge. Upon arrival, they found a 30-year-old male with a gunshot wound in his back. He was transported to Concord Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police were unable to share an update on his current condition.

Authorities had received a report that the shooter had two accomplices, one male and one female, and that all three ran from the area after the shooting.

Police previously arrest Trenton McDonald, 28, in connection with this case and took him into custody in Farmington on June 13. The charges he faces, including felonious use of a firearm and first and second degree assault, indicate that police believe he was the shooter. An affidavit in his arrest was sealed.

Chambers was arraigned on July 1 and, like McDonald, is being held in preventative detention.

“This investigation continues and additional arrests are expected,” a press release stated.

Police have asked that anyone with relevant information regarding this incident contact Detective Evan Cristy at (603) 225-8600.
