WEST SIDEPet vaccinations

■Reserve your spot at the Pope Memorial SPCA low cost vaccinations on Jan. 20 from 10 a.m. to noon. The online form must be completed and sent in before appointment. Bring your cats, dogs and ferrets for a rabies vaccination ($20), microchip ($25), kennel cough vaccine ($15), and distemper vaccine ($15). ■The GoodLife Programs and Activities (254 N. State St.) will be hosting the Community Action Program Lunch on Jan. 23 form 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost to attend the lunch is free for those 60 and up with a suggested donation of $2; age 60 and younger is $5 (cash only). ■The Concord Parks and Recreation Department is offering Adult (18+) Open Gym Drop-in Basketball on Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Green Street Community Center. ■Join in on the public ice skating at the Everett Arena. Skating hours will be Monday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Sunday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Admission is $6 and kids ages three and under are free. SOUTH END‘Art and Bloom’

■The Concord Garden Club (CGC) announces the 20th annual Art & Bloom exhibit at the headquarters of the League of NH Craftsmen (LNHC) and will feature floral arrangements inspired by art pieces on display during the LNHC’s Exhibition Gallery Winter Exhibit. Chrusciel is a poet, translator, and associate professor at Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire. She is the author of three books of poems in English–Of Annunciations, Contraband of Hoopoe, and Strata–as well as three books in Polish.

■Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is Monday. All City of Concord offices will be closed to the public. Trash and recycling collection will not be postponed.
