■The Penacook Historical Society will be at the Volunteer Fair at GoodLife, 254 N. State St., Unit L, Concord, on April 5, from noon to 2 p.m. GoodLife is hosting this fair with various local non-profits looking for help for their organizations. Stop by and learn about the Society’s volunteer opportunities, the fair is free and open to the public.

WEST SIDECraft Festival

■The Walker Lecture Series invites you to attend a Zoom event at the Audi or from the comfort of your home by learning from Rick Ray the Soul of Morocco. The event will be on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Concord City Auditorium and there is no cost to attend. For more information or to get the Zoom link, visit walkerlecture.org.

■During Lent, the volunteers at Bishop Brady High School will be offering the Fish Fry dinner again this year on Friday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. For more information or to place your take-out order call 603-224-7418.

■Check out the Capital City Craft Festival on April 1 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and April 2 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) at the Everett Arena. The cost for admission is $8 for adults and free for children under 14. For more information visit castleberryfairs.com.

■You are invited to the Philoptochos Ladies Luncheon and Bake Sale. Go and enjoy lunch and stock up on delicious Greek pastries for Easter at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on April 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch features include avgolemeno (lemon egg chicken) soup, lentil soup, stuffed peppers, pastitsio, and spanakopita. ■Reserve your spot now as space is limited at the Pope Memorial SPCA for low cost vaccinations on April 7 from 10 a.m. to noon. An online form must be completed and sent in before the appointment. Bring your cats, dogs and ferrets for a rabies vaccination ($20), microchip ($25), kennel cough vaccine ($15), and distemper vaccine ($15). Proof of past rabies vaccination to determine a one or three-year vaccine. Cats must be safely in carriers and dogs on leashes. Payment is due at the time of online registration. SOUTH ENDSteubenville Conference

■If any parishes in the Capital Deanery would like to have your 8th to 12th Graders attend the Steubenville Conference, July 14 to 16, please contact Father Ray (FrRay3@gmail.com or 224-4393 x1) by March 26! ■On April 2 at 6 p.m. witness the “Living Stations/Passion Play” in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (IHM). Free admission. For youths in Grades 6 to 12 interested in performing, there is one rehearsal on April 1, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. with pizza! Then on April 5 at 7 p.m., the Tenebrae Service at IHM Church precedes the last three days of Lent. On April 6 at 5:15 p.m. at IHM, it’s the Pot Luck Passover Meal in IHM Parish Hall which will be followed by the 7 p.m.

■Saturday, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., it’s the St. John School Auction at McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center. Information can be found at stjohnregional.org/annual-auction.

■At the New Hampshire Historical Society, 30 Park St., on April 13 at 6 p.m., in honor of the Society’s 200th anniversary, the 2023 spring lecture series offers a brief overview of New Hampshire’s history. ■Please join runners for the 9th annual Easing Heartbreak Hill 5K: Don’t Forget Your Wings on April 2 at 10 a.m. at Delta Dental! The event is a feel-good race and an opportunity to honor your own heroes with each stride you take. The event will include age group and overall prizes, great food, and stylish T-shirts.

■“Shua” is a story written by the Rev. William Burke over 25 years ago. The presenter, Rev. Denis Brunelle, performs this piece at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on April 5 at 6:30 p.m.

■Come check out lots of beautifully arranged Easter baskets at Bektash Shriners of New Hampshire, 189 Pembroke Rd., that you can bid on to support Shriners International, its hospitals, and patients! You can also enter a 50/50 raffle and Golden Egg raffle online starting Monday! Live festivities are April 8 to 10.
