A Concord man is accused of groping a 13-year-old at the Walmart in Hooksett.

Arthur Vigeant, 21, turned himself in to police Tuesday on a warrant charging him with sexual assault, simple assault and willful concealment in connection with the Jan. 17 incident. He is out of jail on $5,000 personal recognizance.

Police were called to the Walmart on 3 Commerce Drive on the evening of Jan. 17 for a report of a man who had approached a teenage girl and grabbed her buttock.

“The juvenile quickly pushed Vigeant's hand away and he was confronted by the juvenile's family,” police said, adding Vigeant left the store and was confronted a short time later by officers in the parking lot.

Roughly three hours earlier, Vigeant had stolen merchandise from the store, police said.
