Police charged a 60-year-old Concord man with a felony following a hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian on Clinton Street earlier this month.
James Feltham is charged with conduct after an accident that causes serious bodily injury, a class B felony, police said.
On January 8 around 5 a.m., Concord Police and Fire departments responded to the report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian on Clinton Street, between Langley Parkway and Norwich Street. The driver of the vehicle did not stop, police said.
Police asked for the public’s help to identify the driver of the vehicle, believed to be Volkswagen Jetta, between the years 2015 to 2017. After a week-long investigation, police narrowed in on Feltham.
The pedestrian, who was wearing a high visibility vest, was struck by the passenger side mirror and sustained serious injuries. The pedestrian has been released from a Boston hospital, police said.
Feltham is scheduled to be arraigned at Concord district court on February 26, 2024 at 8:15 a.m.
