A high-speed chase that started on Interstate 93 came to end in Concord early Monday morning when a state police dog nabbed the suspect who abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot, police said.
Richard Gomez, 37, of Lawrence, Mass. was arrested and charged with disobeying a police officer, resisting arrest, aggravated driving while intoxicated, operating after suspension offense, reckless conduct and reckless operation
Around 1:41 a.m., State Police Trooper Conor Davis attempted to stop a motor vehicle driven by Gomez for speeding as it was heading north on I93 in Bow, police said.
Instead of pulling over, Gomez continued to flee while increasing its speed to 110 miles per hour, police said.
“The operator exited the interstate in the city of Concord and was having severe lane control issues and driving on the wrong side of Loudon Road for a brief period of time.,” police said in a statement.
Gomez abandoned his vehicle at an apartment complex and fled on foot. That’s when he was apprehended by the state trooper’s K-9 partner, Mando.
