Letter: Trump, the unconfessed sinner

Ex-president Donald Trump told conservative Christians in Florida last month that he’s a fellow Christian. Let’s fact check his claim. Two dozen women say he molested or raped them, including E. Jean Carroll, who won $87 million from Trump in a New York court because he sexually assaulted her. Trump also owes $450 million to the State of New York as an adjudicated tax cheater. Trump paid $150,000 to Stormy Daniels right before the 2016 election to keep her from revealing her sexual encounter with him. That makes him an adulterer, a sexual John and a convicted criminal on 24 counts of using Republican campaign money to buy her silence.

Trump is an unrepentant convict, a thief and a con artist. Not to mention his indictments for dozens of crimes against America and the State of Georgia in connection with the 2020 election insurrection and the top secret documents he took to Mar a Lago when he left office. A Christian would confess these not-so-small errors, crimes and sins, apologize for them and seek forgiveness from God and his victims. Trump never says he’s sorry or admits wrongdoing. He just lies, brags, and attacks, always viciously. People of faith need to take a hard look at the real Trump. Christians are supposed to follow Christ and try to be like him.
