If you’re expecting your town meeting to drag on for hours this year, consider the situation in Dunbarton, where the school warrant only has just two articles to decide.

The proposed operating budget for the school district is $10.22 million, up 6.48% from last year, $9.6 million. If approved, the school portion tax rate will go up $1.52, which is about $456 on a $300,000 home. The other item asks voters to add $44,000 to a school capital reserve fund.

There are no contested races for school board this year.

When and where: The annual school district meeting will be held Saturday, March 9 at the Dunbarton Elementary School’s gymnasium at 4 p.m.
