John Stark Regional High School is getting a new assistant principal this fall. Superintendent Jacqueline Coe announced the appointment of Beth Dooly on Wednesday, who will be joining an administrative team that includes Principal Gary Dempsey and Assistant Principal Brian Emery.

“We are excited to have Beth join the SAU 24 community,” Coe said. “She joins us with years of teaching experience and committee leadership roles within the Manchester School District.”

Dooly is coming to John Stark High School from Manchester Memorial High School, where she has been an English teacher since 2005. Before Manchester Memorial, Dooly was Assistant Director of the Writing Program and Adjunct Faculty at Plymouth State University.

Dooly, who grew up in Goffstown, earned a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies Principal Certification (CAGs) from Southern New Hampshire University, a Master of Education in English Education from Plymouth State University, and a bachelor’s degree in English and Writing from Plymouth State University.

She will be replacing former Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning Laurel Dumont.

“I am looking forward to meeting the student body at John Stark, and I am very happy to be working closely with the Freshmen class,” Dooley said. “I hope my experience as the Student Council adviser, Alpine Ski Team, and Girls’ Lacrosse coach will help me bring a few fresh ideas for both school and community events to John Stark.”

Dooly resides in Dunbarton with her son, Cillian. When not at school, she enjoys snowboarding, gardening, cooking, and reading as many books as possible.
