The IQRA Islamic Society of Greater Concord on North Main Street celebrated Eid al-Fitr on Wednesday, one of the major holidays celebrated by Muslims around the world; it commemorates the end of the holy month of Ramadan, where Muslims fast daily from before dawn until sunset. After the service where men and women pray separately, the whole crowd gathered in the main foyer for food and drink.  Eid al-Fitr has part official receptions and private visits. Then after, where friends greet one another, presents are given, new clothes are worn, and afterwards, the graves of relatives are visited.
