Two parolees are facing new felony charges after police say drugs, thousands in cash and a gun were found during a traffic stop in Franklin.
Police said they recovered 20 grams of methamphetamine, 14 grams of heroin/fentanyl, $3,433 in cash and a .40 caliber handgun as part of their investigation.
The narcotics investigation followed a motor vehicle stop on the afternoon of May 6 on Central Street in the city. Officers deployed Franklin police dog Falco, who alerted them to narcotics in the trunk of the vehicle.
Danielle Lavorgna, 35, of Moultonborough is charged with being a felon in possession of a handgun, in addition to four counts of possession of controlled drugs and two counts of possession of drugs with intent to distribute. She also faces a misdemeanor charge of transporting drugs.
Michael Colby, 36, of Danbury is charged with three counts of drug possession.
Both Lavorgna and Colby are accused of violating the conditions of their parole. Police said they were on parole for previous narcotics-related crimes at the time.
