We would like to send a sincere thanks to the more than 110 singers and musicians from seven Concord regional faith-based choirs that performed for the second annual Greater Concord Interfaith Choir Concert last Sunday at South Congregational Church in Concord.

Produced by local nonprofit Concord Light Opera Company, this concert staged these local choirs individually performing songs of their choosing and as one combined chorus singing songs that all had rehearsed and worked on for many weeks.

This year’s concert was dedicated to raising funds for the Concord Coalition to End Homelessness and its Safe Spaces Campaign.

Efforts from singers, producers and countless other supporters were hugely successful resulting in more than $12,000 in contributions to help end homelessness in our community.

This annual event has previously benefited another local charity, Family Promise and is searching for another nonprofit group to support next year. The third annual event is planned for next November and is open to including more choirs in the performance.

Please consider performing, attending or assisting this worthy event next November.
